Grading
For entry to a 4 year institution at age 18 the basic calculation of the Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement for US universities is determined by British-Patterned Grading Scales based on General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE ) and Scottish Secondary Education grades (Lowers).
A levels, HNC, HND or Scottish Highers are used after admission to determine the minimum number of hours a student athlete must complete to graduate.
A level and Scottish Higher grades will increase the students GPA score for student athletes entering at age 19 or later.
Golfers who have been out of education for over 12 months have reduced opportunities for entering the US academic systems so please seek our advice.
